The Glass Menagerie Inspiration


After viewing the documentary on Tennessee William’s life, identify at least three things in the play “The Glass Menagerie” that are similar to his real life at home.

  17. The first similarity would be that both Tom and Tennesee Williams were writers. Secondly, The mothers' role was exactly like that of his real mother. Lastly, The father's absence from the family was expressed as if Tennesee Williams were recalling his childhood.
